So my airbag light is on now and my '99 has never had the Jeep recall #860 fix applied. Dealer says it's such an old recall that there aren't any parts available to apply the proper fix. Should I contact corporate to see if they have a fix or should I ignore it? Not really excited to randomly have the airbags go off.
OK. You can enter your VIN here http://recalls.mopar.com and it'll tell you everything that hasn't been fixed.

Intermittent problem, feels like binding on acceleration from a stop. I get a couple pops accompanied by hesitation, and then all is normal.
I know the transmission is on its way out. Thoughts?

Hey guys,
I'm going to throw this up on the parts wanted thread as well, but I thought I'd run it by folks here first.
I'm looking for a MAP sensor for my 90. I suspect the one I have now is not the correct one, since it has a "Rube Goldburg" connection at the throttle body.
Anybody got one they want to sell or know where I can buy a new one?
Here's a pic of one borrowed from another thread.

Im looking to hang an American flag from the roof/ceiling of my cherokee (essentially as a headliner cover lol). Anyone have ideas of what I can use to keep it up and fasten it enough so it won't come off while driving with the windows down?

Don't be ghetto, remove the old headliner fabric and properly glue that flag up.

I'm hoping I just found the coarse of my increased fuel consumption, was only getting 425 km from 65 litres ( 15 mpg i think) when i used to get 550 km from that much ( 20 mpg ish).
Found the vacuum line that goes to a tee and then feeds the cruise control and a canister behind the bumper (need to work out what that is) had broken, lets hope that helps with the fuel usage now.
Also should there be much play (wobble) with the distributor shaft where the rotor sits on, moves probably a 1/16th inch

If you're trying to honor the flag, don't do it at all. I know a lot of people here will come back saying the US Flag Code isn't legally binding because US vs Eichman overturned it, and blah blah blah.
But the Flag Code still exists as a guideline for respecting it. See (f) below:

I'm also hoping this will help with my intermitant miss that goes away once it warms up but can start any time also. Cleaning the dist cap and rotor has helped a bit I think (need to order a new set i think)

alright, I went and looked at the ZJ today, the Cruise control won't work for sure but the AC. Wouldn't it be able to work cause all there is, is a wire that turns the AC compressor on and off. So couldn't I just cut and splice the ZJ pigtail in to make it fit. And I also understand that I would have to make custom bracket to mount everything. Only Thing I'm unsure about is that the ZJ has a plug going into the top of the AC dryer, I'm guessing low pressure cut off switch? Could I just cut and splice that pigtail too?

i wouldnt recommend it. you can do it, but it will be the failure point in the system. not to mention the lines and the evap and the condensor are all vehicle specific. as is the Accumulator
