Hey guys,
I'm going to throw this up on the parts wanted thread as well, but I thought I'd run it by folks here first.
I'm looking for a MAP sensor for my 90. I suspect the one I have now is not the correct one, since it has a "Rube Goldburg" connection at the throttle body.
Anybody got one they want to sell or know where I can buy a new one?
Here's a pic of one borrowed from another thread.

The sensors are had easily on any site that would ship to ya... I get mine from rockauto.com.
As far as the tube goes, check out Moparpartsoverstock.com - that's where I found the replacement for my '92.

Good luck on the Renix era tube for '87-90. Maybe Cruiser has one laying around, but they haven't produced them for over a decade. Most I find in junkyards are broken

True... but this site has a lot of NOS parts still available (in ltd. quantities).

As luck would have it, I pulled off the tube to examine more closely, and discovered the whole adaptation of the tube was unnecessary.
I pulled the connector invention off, and found the original tube was in good condition, so I stuck it in the rubber base on the throttle body and it fit like a champ.
As it was, it was functioning properly - it just looked like crap.
Now it's back to it's original configuration.
Gotta love them apples.

I'm having some transmission issues while accelerating at highway speeds or up inclines. I will increase the throttle to speed up or compensate for the incline and the tranny will downshift, the motor will jump to around 3300-3400 rpm but the jeep will barely speed up or on inclines I may even decelerate. I'm inclined to think it may be my torque converter. It's a 98 with 4.0l, np231,SYE, roughly 5" of lift, 31" tires and the Chrysler 8.25 just had a limited slip installed. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

So my airbag light is on now and my '99 has never had the Jeep recall #860 fix applied. Dealer says it's such an old recall that there aren't any parts available to apply the proper fix. Should I contact corporate to see if they have a fix or should I ignore it? Not really excited to randomly have the airbags go off.

I've got an xj,my friends got a ZJ for part out. Can I take the cruise control on his ZJ and put it on my xj? My jeep used to have cruise control but I removed cause it didn't work, mbut now I wanting to fix it. Will the ZJ cruise control fit in an xj?
My second question is that I'm wanting to put AC in my jeep, will the ZJ compressor and other AC parts work in an XJ?

I've found that if you clean and prep the surface of metal issues like this and then use a Devcon or Belzona product that is spreadable. you can spread it on neatly and feather it in (works like Bondo) let it cure properly. then you can paint it if you want or leave it. but the area repaired will not succumb to rust again. it works awesome.
