Is there a special tool to remove the NSS without breaking it. I tried the screwdriver under the nut, I sprayed with Liquid Wrench and tried again. I have a parts truck and broke the NSS trying to remove it, I can't break this one but it needs to be cleaned out and to buy a new one I have to dig into tire savings. I took the harness off the one I broke and made a plug and play bypass for the time being.

Anyone have a trick for moving the front axle backward to align the upper control arm bolt hole?
I pressed in a new bushing but I need to move the axle back about 3/4 of an inch to get the UCA bushing bot hole in alignment with the UCA mounting hole.
Thanks in advance.

I know what a Jeep is...I dont know what a thread is...Cant seem to find the place to ask the question. The 91 Jeep is running great but too lean still..Is it possible the fuel pump is not putting out the pressure it should to lower the NOX to pass emissions and still be running that good?
1) Your catalytic converter is plugged, or not working anymore. For a 91 it's definitely possible it needs to be replaced. My 95's CAT was completely empty when I first got it.
2) You have a lot of carbon buildup in the engine. Try running a full bottle of seafoam through the brake booster to clean some of it up.
3) The spark plugs that are in the engine are the incorrect heat range. Your 91 should use only Copper Plugs - Champion RC12LYC - Gap should be .035"
4) Your cooling system is not operating correctly.
Additionally I've seen this result come from a faulty o2 sensor heater circuit. There is a fuse you should check in the underhood fuse box.

1. What has to be changed to put a 4.0 from a 99 into a 00?
2. Will the head from the 2000 fit the 99 block? I ask this question only because I just put a brand new head on the 2000 and all I need really is the short block. Thanks

swap just the short block from the 99. Use your 2000 head, pcm, coil packs, intake, exhaust, sensors, etc. on the 99 block

that's your trans coolant line... (leaking red fluid?-trans fluid).
you can pick up the lower half of that line for about 30-40 bucks at an auto part store. however, the top half (bent metal tubing), is basically a custom line that you'd have to figure out how to rig a new piece (or find one in a junkyard). the good news is those lines aren't high pressure, so if it is the metal part, you can just cut the part out thats leaking and use a hose with clamps to replace it... had to do that on mine. good luck!

What tools are required to remove the bumper end caps from a pre-97 XJ?
Going to the junkyard to acquire a couple parts and would prefer not to have to bring my entire tool box if possible.
Thanks guys.

they're a royal PITA to remove. There's a bolt in the bottom that's not too bad, but the bolt in the top is impossible to remove with the bumper on the truck. When i took mine off i unbolted the bottom, then just pulled them off the top bolt. A little messier but much easier. They don't need to be held on that well anyways IMO.

I currently have a jvc 50 watt x 4 head unit and 4 6.5" kenwood 3 way speakers. The head unit is 22 watt x 4 (RMS) and the speakers are each 70 watt (RMS). I get a minor crackling popping sound when it gets to a certain volume level, anyway i talked to a car audio guy and he said i need an amplifier, do you agree? Also, what wattage amplifier should i run.....not wanting to spend much money btw. Thanks
