Okay, so oil is good in my transfer case NP-231, what else would cause a sloppy chain. If a bearing or something went bad, would that cause some slack? Thanks

If you're sure it's 12 55 THen you might want to check all the battery cables etc. code 12 is disconnected battery, and code 55 is end of all codes. http://www.troublecodes.net/chrysler/89-95jeep/

You might even need a new battery.

Ken, please use punctuation. Many of us are more than willing to help, but we refuse to try if you won't. If you throw some periods in those posts, and maybe a few commas, I'll try reading them.

Not trying to be rude here. Just being honest.

sometimes we try hard to decipher what someone is saying and misunderstand what he/she meant and give out wrong advice. That wouldn't be too good, right?

So for us to truly help you out, having proper punctuation goes long way.

My friend just bought a ZJ and I know nothing about them. He got it from copart. It's a 97 grand Cherokee with the 5.2 V8. When we first started it, it ran find. The. We put it in gear and it died. Now, when we try to start it, it won't stay running unless I give it gas, otherwise it'll just immediately stall out. Any ideas? Thanks

The internet says yes, but I've never touched a ZJ control arm with my own hands
