That felpro rubber one has holes, but all of the cork ones that I've seen don't have holes. I still have been wanting to replace mine because it has a tiny leak from a bolt being loose and then me braking it....

I had absolutely no issues with mine. Clean the mating surfaces really well with sandpaper, a thin layer of RTV on both sides to help with the install, and tightening evenly a little at a time. Works great.

It's right. It doesn't need to be outside the bolt holes.

Ok.... this is gonna be interesting. Next week I'm going to do it... the date is set. Any idea what kind of torque pressure to use on it?

tight enough not to leal, loose enough not to brake.....i've always just snugged them up pretty good....i've had good luck with using a 1/4" drive ratchet, and snugging them up.....someone will probably post the specs at some point....a hanes/chiltons manual should have it as well

yea the torque spec is low, in the inch-lb range.

I tightened mine down a little bit, in a cross zig-zag pattern from the middle out to each end to keep everything even and straight, then went back and did the same thing again, and again until it was tightened down well.

Then a week later, i went out and did it again. Been fine ever since - not a drop leaked.

That's what I did also. Zigzag pattern and tighten untill you feel its good.

Doing doorless mod to my two door. Everyone says to drill out insulator. How thick is it and how much play will this allow doors to have ??

Default Stuck bolt

ok so my 2" lift from Rusty's came a while ago and with it I ordered a new steering stabilizer. Well for some reason I decided today was the day for the ss install. The bolt with the cotter pin felt differently! With some pb blaster and some elbow grease I got the knuckle side off. However the other side cotter pin and nut came off with not to much of a fight, but the shock and bolt wouldnt come off! Whats the trick? I cut off the shock with my grinder but I cant get the bolt out. Any advice? Its dark out and it looks like I will be driving to work tomorrow without a steering stabilizer.

I'm about to replace my OEM headlights with an H4 conversion, and some Hella 80/100's. i know others of you out there have done this/similar. Is it worth it for a brighter drive? Or, is there a better option I should use?

Do it. Unless you want hids, doing the h4
Upgrade with the harness is a great and easy thing to do. I'm happy I did.

I have a 2000 Cherokee Laredo. At odd times the lights will come on and go off while the jeep is off and just sitting there at first I thought it was the alarm but when I turned the switch from auto to off the lights don't do that any more. So I figure it must be the light sensor. I think it is called the ambient light sensor. I just don't know where to find it. Could anyone tell me where it is located? Thank you so much for any help.
