XJ Ask the Question Thread
Your fuel pump turns on when the key is in the on position and starts pumping fuel up. If it's clogged you won't get enough pressure coming in afterwards which will cause problems. Depending on how bad it can be immediate or only happen at high rpm.

Can you adjust your transfer case linkage too far toward low range? Should the handle rest against the back when in low? Every now and then it seems like it skips but only on steep climbs/twisty stuff. If I hold back on the handle it stays in gear. I definitely don't want it slipping out of gear in fulltime though.

Sounds like it is not going far enough into lowrange. It should be adjusted so that the linkage stops it's self at the Transfer Case yet still leaves a little room behind the handle, as long as the linkage is not worn too much of course.

How do I remove the tcase shift handle? I am trying not to break this new 231 bezel I want to put on. I see that I will have to adjust my linkage, as shown above, since 2hi is smashing the thin top part.

No need to remove the lever. Bezel comes up right over the handle.
