^ Problem is, that bolt is a pivot point. Tighten it too much and articulation will suffer, along with ride quality. This is the case when the leaf bushing has a captured or vulcanized sleeve, that sleeve will not turn inside bushing.
On poly bushings, the sleeve is allowed to turn.

They were an Omix-ada from Summit. Definitely don't look like those. Contacting them to try and see what they can do, if nothing but a refund, then I'll bite the bullet and just go to Jeep

I have also learned the hard way to avoid Omix and Crown.
Try these if you want stock height shackles but not OEM http://www.ironrockoffroad.com/10456.html

Okay so I got a 2000 xj and my drive shaft ripped my plug for my o2 sensor off. ( not sure why it was unplugged to begin with). Now my question is is the tranny harness separate from the engine harness. Or is it one big harness just wij three plugs? And does any one know best place to get a harness at?

How do in know if my check engine light works? When I bought the jeep, the previous owner had cut the O2 sensor wires, I'm guessing because it's bad. Also exhaust is cracked all over. But anyways, wouldn't that make the check engine light come on if he did? My trans also slips at take off, getting a new one soon, but wouldn't that make check engine light come on? Is there a fuse or somthin that he pulled?

Thanks guys. Getting one from the dealer so I know it's right. Gotta send the Omix-ada ones back to Summit with a 10% restocking fee and shipping cause it's considered "used" cause of the paint being scuffed up from mounting. Not ordering Omix-ada again.

CEL should illuminate when you turn the key from OFF to RUN first thing in the morning. If it doesn't, the bulbs dead or missing. If the previous owner cut a bunch of important wires he probably pulled the bulb.

Alright so my trans has started acting funny. I'm guessing I need a new one but I want to make sure first. When I put it I nto drive and give it gas, sometimes, it will act as if in neutral and there is a thump, and it's moving. Sometimes, it just takes off as normal. And If I give it gas and it acts as if in neutral, I can wait a second and then give it gas again and it goes fine. It only does this when I'm starting from a stop or if I'm barely crawling like 1-5 mph. Trans fluid looks like dog **** or chocolate milk so I've been doing a drain and flush every couple days. Starting to look bright red again. Any ideas, I've read somewhere that it could be TPS but I'm not to familiar with that. Also, maybe torque converter? Thanks. Also here's a pic of the fluid before multiple drain and fills over the past week or two.

That "fluid" alone can cause that. How's it looking now? And what have you been replacing it with?

Keep up the good work. Don't stop until it's actually red...

If you're going through a LOT you can apparently do a "fluid exchange" wherein you disconnect the transmission cooler and let the transmission basically pump out the old and suck up the new. Saw a writeup on it on this forum a little while back.

BUT... there's a fair chance that internal damage has been already done. May want to see if anybody has a compatible AW4 for cheap
