Rotors are easier than using toilet paper.
I am serious too. Look up some videos on YouTube on how to change pads and rotors if you like. The most annoying part is jacking up the vehicle and removing the wheel.
Pads are simple enough that my cat that runs into walls could do it.

Okay, dumb question time 'cos I'm curious. Never owned a Jeep or an XJ before, now I've got an '86. The heater controls don't seem to have a light in the dash for it, and there's no transparent sections for a bulb behind to shine through. So when it was stock, was there illumination for the stock heater controls at all? The only thing I could think of is if there was a light shining down from the stock radio over the heater controls (kinda like a license plate light.) Nothing super major, just something that I've been wondering about since I got my XJ and noticed I can't see the heater controls at night. Did a search and didn't see anything about it. Not like it matters though, 'cos my vacuum lines are wonky and the flaps don't go off defrost anyway.

Anyone know the bolt size for the rear bumper bracket? I'm looking to remove the bumper from the bracket first then replace one of the brackets and I can't tell what size that top bolt is of the two on each side.

It's on the passenger side rear of the control IIRC.
Vents being stuck on Defrost is generally not the control, but an issue with the vacuum reservoir. See attached diagram.

Radiator itself is fine, I would check the box before you leave the store.
Recently did a radiator for a girls a xj and she ordered the Vista pro one from rockauto, had every fitting you could need.

1999 4.0. Yesterday I decided to check my IAT sensor and the coolant temp sensor. Voltage to both are within specs. The engine was still a little warm and the radiator cap was warm to the touch. Ohms on the IAT was 4600. Coolant sensor was 2700. This morning with the engine completely cool, outside temp 68F, IAT was 11,400 ohms and the coolant sensor was 11,700.
The IAT is within specs with a temp of 68. Coolant is sensor is out of range according to the charts I have found.
Anyone here tested theirs before and willing to share what they found. I am leaning toward replacing the coolant sensor.

I bought a Ready-Rad from AA for the Comanche. It was missing fittings. I returned it and got one from CarQuest, and it had all the fittings brazed into it. That's my source for radiators from now on. The one I got for my Wrangler is holding up fine, too.
