It looks like something could have gone here. In ten years of having an XJ, I've never come across an explanation.

I'm pretty sure the only year for the 8.25 that had difficulties was the 99. The 99 was 9" but the late production 99.5 was a 10". I'm 88.5% certain of this.

In the Modified Tech section there's a thread dedicated to lifts and tires and has at least a weeks worth of reading. It basically boils down to how much you want to spend and your ability to wrench on your jeep.

It's for the diesel XJs, glow plug light goes there. You can see them in action in this video:

Easy way to tell is looking for cooling fins on the drums. No fins = 9"

Better answer: Drums aren't worth your time when you could convert to disc brakes...

I replaced my XJ stock seats with a set I pulled from a '96 ZJ. They are nice, but too short for me. The top of the seat back doesn't clear my shoulders and the head rest is below my head. How much taller are WJ seats? I've read every seat replacement thread I could find here and on the internets at large.

I had a WJ for about 6 months and don't remember thinking anything negative about the seats before I sold it and went back to an XJ. I went to the salvage yard here, but both WJ seats had already been pulled.

Bottom line, I want seats in my XJ that have an adjustable head rest that comfortably reaches my head and a seat back that covers my back. At 6'0" it's not too tall.. an order. I'm considering Corbeau, Bestop, WJ, Mastercraft, etc... but I prefer the cheapest that will get the job done well. Any suggestions?
