That isn't it's own power; that's gravity.

Alright i got a couple questions.

Do the axle trusses really support the axle and help? They seem more for looks from the sounds of it.

Also, what do the bar pin eliminators for shocks do? Obviously remove the bar pin but what does that accomplish?

Trusses strengthen the tubes by triangulating the axle. If you plan to jump your rig, you pretty much need them. I'm putting one on my D44 for the extra strength, but I don't need it.

BPEs allow more shock options. I don't remember the other benefits they provide.

Yes they do, when you get into actual wheeling with big tires you can bend and twist housings fairly easy, the truss stops that so you arent putting new axles in every month
Bpe allow you to use one large bolt vs two small ones

Ah ok thank you. I dont really plan on doing much jumping but i may pick one up sometime. I need a way to strengthen my D30 and 27 spline 8.25. I should just covert to 29 spline.

The truss isn't related to spline count in any way. The spline count isn't just the way to tell the 8.25s apart; it IS the difference. The truss will strengthen the tubes on either one equally, but it won't make the 27-spline shafts stronger.

How can you tell what spline count you have?? My front is a Dana 30 and my rear is a 8.25. I've called the dealership and they said they didn't have that information.
