Update, I didn't realize there was a line coming from the trams to the speedo. For some reason I thought the black disk was somehow powering a motor or something, got it hooked back up and for the first time since I got my jeep, it's 100% functional. Thank you all so much for all your help

Looking for the fuel line size on my 94 4.0. Relocating the gas tank and will need longer lines.

Aren't they hard lines up to the tank and rubber the last foot or so. Seems like you'd be able to pull the rubber off and head to the parts store to find the correct size line.

I thought they were rubber after the fuel filter? Isnt there a specific fuel type hose, not just a regular rubber hose?

I'll go look around then. What gauge sheet metal should i use to enclose the tank? Think 14 or 16? I'll have to buy a 4x8 sheet of it.

I'd use 7 gauge.

Living in Arizona sure has its benefits. Here in NC, surrounded by salt-water on all sides, brand new things start to corrode overnight in the salt-spray off the ocean.

That one is expensive, the Putco is $29 delivered.

I used the couplings to build/hold it all together initially. Then cut some short sections of tubing and welded cross bars all around the perimeter; vertically and horizontally. It's 4'x6' so I put in x-bracing wherever I could. I'm 6'1" 255lbs and it holds me standing on it.
In essence the couplings can now be removed; I'm just too lazy to cut them off.

Another problem with the set-screw couplings is they are made from aluminum, EMT is steel; so you cannot weld together. I have recently found some other couplings that are inserted IN the tubing and can be welded....this would make for a nice seamless basket on the next one I make.
All in all, this basket was less than $100 for all materials, including the 3rd cross bar I snagged at the pullapart. Well worth it in my opinion.

Thanks now how much do you think it would take to fill them both up from empty?
