you sure it was the actual sensor? a lot of times it's the vacuum hose
...but i digress
Just unplug the electrical connector and vacuum hose, unbolt the bracket, swap the bracket if needed, rebolt it to the firewall, plug everything back in.

Help please have a"99" sport 4.0 starts/idles fine after 1-3 min it starts to run rough almost stalls kinda chokes and coughs some backfires through intake. Get wooshing sound at air box like it is really tryng to suck air recovers then does it all again. It will do this for 5-7 min then smooth out and run fine no loss of power slight loss of mpg 1-3. Does this every time it sits for 10 min. If I try driving when it is doing this it will smooth out if I punch it up to 1800rpm or better. What I have done. Started with full tune up plugs, wires, cap, rotor, air filter. Cleaned throttle body and idle air motor. Replaced temp sensor at first it only happend between 100-175 deg. Finally got ck eng light code said TPS replaced it. None of this has helped. Side note the colder it is outside the shorter the rough run time is. Sorry so long wanted to give all the info I could.

I have a 2000 xj 4.0. I'm switching out my injectors for 784's. While disconnecting the e-connectors to the injectors the red clips that hold the injectors on disintegrated. How important are these? Where can I find 6 more???

Hey Guys, hoping someone can help me find out whats going on with my Cherokee.. Start up idle is horrible, if you hit the gas it chokes out and shakes and sounds like it is dying, you have to dump the clutch to get it moving. As soon as the clutch is engaged motor instantly smoothes out and runs perfectly, until you put it in neutral, then she goes right back to sputtering. The previous owner told me that when he drove it for a lil while it would just die, he'd let it cool and it would start right back up, I'm not sure if these are related problems. I dont think this is a fuel problem, like I said it runs great after you get it in gear and engage the clutch, but you have to engage the clutch to make it run normal. any suggestions?
Yeah I just picked it up this week, There is no engine light on it s no codes I can check, I did clean the throtle plate thinking it might be a fuel problem, but I'm pretty sure that isn't the problem. after you pop the clutch this thing runs perfectly, idle's perfect, throtle's perfect runs like not a thing is wrong. put it back in neutral and it goes right back to sputtering...

Well I installed the injectors completely. The I started the car and fuel was flowing from two injectors. The original injector heads had gotten stuck in the rail and wouldn't come out...so I had to order a new rail from jeep...$257 for the rail ugh...so much for doing the upgrade cheap....
