I've had to do it twice. On 2 different people's Jeeps. Neither belonged to me and both Jeeps were from up North.

I don't have to fool with it either. I've never had one of mine seize.

Plus, everytime I pull those bolts out I slather them down in anti-seize just in case.

Whatever you measured it to be since it changes based on lift and tires size

It depends on several things, nobody can tell you how much you need. Depends on tire size, shock length, and fender trimming. Absolutely nothing to do with lift height.

Default Bad Noises

After my dad and I installed a 3'' lift on my 1998 xj sport, I have a hard "clunk" noise when I turn. I can't see any loose fittings on any of the steering components or suspension. Any ideas?

First, tighten the track bar bracket to frame bolts even if they look tight.

Second get an adjustable track bar if the kit didn't come with one and also LCA too.

Sorry, I'm new, but I have a starting problem as well in my 4.0 98 jeep Cherokee sport, as soon as I start it up and drive it it goes but then accelorating my rpms go up then I hold the gas to just about keep that speed then the rpm guage goes down slowly without me letting up on the gas ( doesn't sound like switching gears) and it does this thing were it stays one speed clicks, knocks, or sounds like popping and then jumps up speed, and I have replace my distributor car and rotator for the inside of it, and no luck, could it be a throttle position sensor, or bad gas

I've used trans fluid to flush and engine, worked great for me.... used about half a qt drove a couple blocks to get up to operating temperature and changed the oil.... dunno how good it would be for the internal seals but didn't seem to have any ill effects on the car... btw wasn't my jeep an older escort I had...

Well I've got a lifter knocking (replaced my head and lifters but didnt get it completely cleaned out) and I still have a lifter knocking. I've got some stp engine treatment that I'm going to run thru my engine today then change the oil. Just wanted to see what other people thought about the trans oil. I've also been told diesel and kerosene.
