I'd certainly leave the Jeep at home then.

Back when I was running 33's and 3.55's pulling my small boat (~1800#s) the transmission would get hot and spit fluid everywhere.

Quick question about a 96 Cherokee. Not a huge deal if it gets answered or not, I'm sure I'll figure it out...

Anyone know if I can find the wires for the lights that come on when the doors are open under the dash/what color they are? I unplugged the switch when I went doorless (and they fell inside... PITA to get out) so that there wouldn't be a buzzer while I was driving, but now I want to run a switch so I can turn the lights on manually. I suppose I could take the headliner down and follow the wires back, that way I would have just the light and not the buzzer.

Edit: Uh, so.. I was looking it up and apparently the headlight **** is supposed to control the dome light. Mine never has. Guess that's where I'll look first.

Anyone got tips for putting brown dog (or similar) motor mounts in? I couldn't get the sucker lined up for nothing.

You had a jack under the engine. I never had to do them, yet, but heard it should be 30 min job

Makes no sense. Did you leave the mounts loose while you installed the cross bolt?

I had an engine hoist on the engine. I love time estimates for jobs. Never accurate, they are "best case scenario" times. They don't include things like, broken/frozen bolts, stuck oil filters in your way, etc. I'm not complaining, it's just funny.

Yup. Mount was loose. Just started the first few thread of both bolts to keep it from pulling out and what not. Then I couldn't even get the engine bracket back down over the mount. It kept getting hung up on the bushings metal sleeve.

I tried every which way with pry bars. Nothing would let it slide down but when I took the mount back off the two bolts, it slide right up in there (in the engine brackets), it fit like a glove.

I ran out of day light but tomorrow I'm going to try installing it with the thru bolt first and then line up the bottom bolts. I just don't wanna **** up the threads.

How about this? It's how I do them for reinstalling an engine. Install the mounts loosely to the engine brackets with the throughbolts and THEN set it down on the studs and bolt them into the frame rail. .

That's what I said in my last paragraph. In so many words. Lol

Too bad I woke up to thunderstorms. Just looked at the weather and they're calling for rain every 2hrs. Dammit.
