No you are correct the 5.2l is a "v"8 engine meaning has 2 head gaskets. The "Inline 6" only uses one gasket because all cylinders are in 1 row. I believe it should all be done at one time because when replacing a head gasket it changes the compression numbers due to the thickness of the gasket itself. I would assume it would be fine but its better to do both at the same time. Plus why would you want to tear apart the block twice for the same job.
New to the forum. I recently bought a jeep that a guy just put a lower mileage motor in. 1999 cherokee. I have a vibration that starts about 2500 rpm in park that can be felt in the floorboard mainly. I have put new motor mounts and a new tranny mount in it with no help. I have spun the torque converter and bolted it back up to the flexplate and still no help. I have pulled the serpentine belt and still no help. The motor is not misfiring. I am convinced that it is coming from the bellhousing. The exhaust does not seem to be hitting anywhere and the flexplate does not appear cracked lol. any suggestions. I really dont want to pull the tranny without knowing for sure that it is tc or flexplate
It will do it at the same rpm while driving 2500 rpm and up but you cant feel it as much then but can tell that it is still doing it if that makes sense. Sounds like I am having a slight tapping sound from bell housing as well so I am afraid it is flexplate

Trying to figure out what to search for, or if this exists.
I have a Smittybilt XRC8500 winch, and I just put a winch bumper on my jeep that recesses the winch behind the grill. It can be made to work without cutting up the grill, and only a slight cutout of the cowling for the clutch lever.
Even if I hack a hole in the grill and cowling, it will be a pain to get to the clutch lever. Looking at it, it seems that it would be good to have like a cable remote for the clutch.
I can figure out have to make one, but not without drilling and tapping a hole on the lever for a linkage. Is there a cable linkage kit that either clamps to or replaces the handle, or even a bolt in that uses air? "Remote" or "Cable" doesnt bring back desired results when combined with "Winch".

I need to find the J hook/bolt for the gas tank strap on a 88 xj. I found them online at 4wheelparts for 21 per bolt. Anyone know where i can find them cheaper?
One side of the tank is currently held up by thin rope. The bolt somehow snapped off while doing 85 down the freeway. very scary feeling.

Use a tube cutter and cut the tube and then put a rubber hose with two clamps to tie it back together. Quicker and easier for next time.
I forget what size hose I used but I couldn't get mine to come out of the pan so after a quick search I went with the cut and sleeve method myself.
