OK so now I am second guessing myself. I installed a new timing chain and sprockets on my son's 89 Cherokee. Had the arrows on the sprockets pointing at each other all is good there ! My question is was the #1 piston supposed to be at TDC before the install of the timing chain and sprockets ?? The more I read about this procedure the more I second guess myself.

The unibody will flex regardless. Some people say it's much worse without doors, and others don't have a problem. I haven't had a problem.

Yep, but it's normal. I've seen much worse.

By the way, you should go here and fill out your info in the last section:

My part time light has not worked since I bought my xj but you can sure as hell tell when its in 4wheel or not.... Yea 60mph on dry roads not good. I just never decided to change out or fix the sensor on the trans for the part time light. So just because light doesn't go on doesn't mean its not in 4wheel but youd had to of pulled the lever up to 4hi at some point..

Default Overhead console problems 1991

I have a 1991 Cherokee Limited with the fancy interior including the overhead console with temp/compass. When I bought the truck years ago, I knew then the outside temp gauge sensor did not work (mounted behind the front license plate) as the gauge always read 5degrees Celsius. The compass worked fine though. Recently the overhead display went blank altogether. Very recently it has started flashing on and off usually lighting all segments of the LED. Anybody got an idea where I should start????

Is there any cons to running a 1 ton crossover steering upgrade with a front locker?

I have a 4.5" lift and I'm starting to hear and feel some popping in my steering, I was thinking of replacing my stock pitman arm, any suggestions on what to replace it with to elimate this issue?
