Vancouver? Cold? lol

Do you have an IR thermometer? I'd start by verifying the real temp at the thermostat housing, then checking your heater hoses. If one of the hoses coming from the firewall is hot and the other is rather cold you've got a blockage. I suppose your Renix XJ also has one of those pesky heater control valves too... maybe vacuum can fail on them and they don't operate?

Also follow up on the AC cycling. Pull the fuse and see what happens.

Not my Renix. This is my 98
Ill see if i can borrow a buddies IR thermometer.
( any other way to check if i cant get my hands on a IR ? )
And they both seem hot, although i was just driving for about and hour.

Definitely pop the AC fuse and see what happens.

Nope just strait to the core. It seems like the core might be plugged up its only 46 bucks so if i have to replace it not such a big hole in the wallet.
