What would happen if you did an SYE and had a driveshaft with a cv joint and then didn't shim the rear axle?

Which drive shaft? Does this drive shaft have a slip joint in it?

Your Jeep would burst into flames and explode.

Just kidding man :P

My guess would be slight vibrations

I just mean in general, say a 231 case. Front driveshaft and the rear axle isn't shimmed to the correct angle. What happens?

Ah, like he said, vibs at the worst.

I've never installed shims on anything. I prefer the back massage.

That's part of the CCV system. Just replace it with one big piece that'll reach.

Well yeaterday I was wheeling and I flexed on a rock to take a picture and I realized all my BRAND NEW AntiFreeze was pouring out. It was coming for a small hose behind the swaybar on the passenger side, behind the frame rail. What is this hose? What is it supposed to be connected to?

I would guess that it's supposed to be connected to the cooling system.

Go take a picture of your hose.

Would this cause a vibration at idle? Under torque the vibration goes away
