Yes. The manuals are a few inches shorter than the AW4, you'll need to get a correctly sized DS

I swear my shaft for my automatis is longer. Then again your the expert. I just need to wait till I get off work.

Aren't you just replacing your old 35 with another 35 out of an auto? If so, is your old DS in usable shape?

Its a long story, but I'm putting a Dana 35 from an automatic in a Manuel Xj. Old ds is fine.

How much lift would you guys guess the 4.5" RE Super flex kit(Short Arm) would net? 5" in front and 5.5-6" in the rear? From the sounds of it, it won't settle much more than that.
