Um this is probably gonna be a pretty dumb question but I'm serious.. Does the headliner have any purpose? Insulator? Reduces noise? Mines all falling down and I'm thinking about just taking it out until it warms up and I can redo the headliner.

Its an insulator, yes. It insulates both heat and noise.

IMO.
I will be wheeling. That's for sure, how hard? I dunno. On a scale of 1-10 I'm go for a 7+ lol

Also, OEM may have lasted 20 years, but I don't know if you'd get that same performance unless you bought Mopar. Which might cost more.

It does a little insulating. How much though is questionable. Take it out, see how you feel.

To get the headliner out, yes. But you can put it back in.

Well dont take it out and leave it just because its falling down. Recover it, or have someone recover it. I had a local shop do mine for $75 bucks with them providing the material.

Lol if she cant get it right just scrap all the foam off with a stiff bristled brush and bedline/paint it. Buddy of mines was like that and looked pretty good IMO.

I'm doing mine with Desert camo, it matched the tan interior really well.
