Yes, Lucas and Royal Purple are the two best fluids out there.

You'll want to twist the cap off in a counter clockwise motion.

I'd suggest tilting the bottle to 26 degrees while pouring the fluid into a funnel.

If you'd like more assistance please feel free to start a thread.

Question Wheel Flares

Hey all,

New to this and don't even know if I'm asking a question in right area, but here we go anyways. I have a 98 Cherokee I'm doing a color change from the purple blue to a flat olive drab, and then some suspension and wheel and tire upgrades. My first question if about the wheel flares. I am getting a new JCR rear bumper that does not wrap around the rear quarters like the factory bumper did. I want to do away with the brackets on the quarters and have a nice clean painted quarters with factory style flares that wrap all the way down the quaters while using the factory mounting holes with minimal or no mods on the current exterior of the Jeep. Any ideas? Thanks for any help

Cut, fold and buy the bumper that wraps around...

Did I ask the question in the correct area to get responses with answers other than cut, fold . . . ect. I've already explored that and am trying to find other options with fellow Cherokee owners with more experience on this model Jeep.

Are there bolt holes in the 1/4 panels once you remove the bumper ends? Can you just bondo or weld them up then paint?

And I would kinda watch the attitude with someone that has over 7,000 post. Pretty sure he has experience on this model Jeep.

The brackets are riveted. You have to drill them out.

And to be fair, his question was ignored and he was given a generic answer.

Is this ok? It does not say Dex/Merc.
Actually, [URL="http://www.autozone.com/autozone/accessories/Lucas-Oil-1-qt-multi-vehicle-automatic-transmission-fluid-for-use-in-older-cars-new-cars-SUVs-and-trucks/_/N-25aa?counter=0&filterByKeyWord=transmission+fluid& fromString=search&itemIdentifier=853250_0_0_"]the AZ site says Lucas multi-vehicle ATF is not recommended for use in CVT, Ford type F, MB 236.12 and Allison TES-295, MERCONŽLV, MERCONŽSP and DEXRONŽVI. This is the only ATF that my AutoZone sells.
Depends on the viscosity. Most modern multi-vehicle ATFs tend to the Dexron 4/ATF+4 side of things which is a bit thin for the AW4 and can cause slipping.

If AutoZone doesn't have these, WalMart should. There's a SuperTech branded D/M fluid that will do

So there are holes? Seems since he's having it painted, welding them up would be a simple job and look good.

I don't have a better picture. There's a bracket to hold the bumper cap. It has rivets that need to be drilled, and this is what you get.
