Ive got a new hood waiting to go on my jeep. It already has the latches on either side of the front of it, and the cable that runs between them.

My question is how do I remove the main release cable from it (without damaging it), and put it on my new hood?
If you look in there where the cable meets the latch there's a little cylinder on the cable, you gotta turn it and pop it out. To me, it's a huge PITA. My replacement hood's cable on my 91 isn't hooked back up yet.

I wouldn't mind hearing some tips/tricks for these if anyone knows something...

year - depends. 96+ is newer body style. Anything below 1991 is Renix engine management (no diagnostic mode).

Engine - 4.0L
Transmission - I'd stay 87+ for the automatic, 90+ for a manual
Axles - I'd stay 91+ for front axle (Dana30 HP), rear axle you want the c8.25 (flat tab on bottom) - 97+ preferred for 29 spline version.
Transfer case - doesn't matter but for a trail rig i'd say np231

Oh... yea a bit to far. Shipping would probably kill that deal.

I should just stop thinking about them that $200 could go towards something that's not purely for looks.

My money is burning though! Gonna have to order something soon to sooth the disease.

Need a quick answer fellas. Found a overhead console in the junkyard and I'm going to buy it. My jeep did not come factory with it. Do I need to pull any wiring or anything? Or will it just go right into mine? It's coming out of a 97 country and going into my 00 sport.

Thanks!

19mm socket and pliers to pull the cotter pin out. 15mm to align it.

My steering came out with a hammer and punch to the top of the TRE.

On the plus side treadwrights 16's (in the size I want) are $10 cheaper than 15s.
So I got him to do $200 I'm thinking I can sell off my eccos for $20 a piece or get $15 a piece at the scrap yard to ease the pain.

Alright sweet thanks. No special puller tools or any of that? Do i need new rubber pieces that the grease goes into from the zerk fitting or will the parts come with em? Im assuming one of those is on the steering since there was a lot of em.

Also does anyone have a suggested tranny cooler? B&M is what ive been lookin at but they have a few options and different sizes. Also lookin for a temp gauge for the trans too.
