Manual = fill till it flows out of the fill hole
Automatic = fill till the dipstick reads full (engine on, gearbox in park, warmed up)

For the AX-15, the drain plug is on the bottom passenger side and the fill plug is on the right side further up. They're both 15/16" I believe. Add oil until it starts to come back out of the fill hole (either by using a pump with the hose stuck in that hole, or removing your shifter and pouring in from the top)

Had them mounted on 15" MT classic II. Go over 20mph can't hear anything. I assume your referring to muds right?

Why in the world does my tcase grind as soon as I put it into full time? Or sometimes even part time? It grinds immediately when I put it into drive then ill stop and throw it in neutral and it'll stop and be fine. Why is this lol? Also in part time and full time the shifter seems loose, should it feel tight?

Are you shifting it like the factory recommends?

Here's how the factory suggests you shift the transfer case and I've been doing this since these things were new and I worked at the dealership. Quoted from the owner's manual.

"To engage, shift the transfer case lever from 2H to 4H while the vehicle is moving at any legal speed". I let off the gas, throw the lever, and then tap the gas and let off.

4L position: " To engage, slow the vehicle to 2-3 MPH , shift the transmission to Neutral, then shift the transfer lever to the right and pull firmly rearward to 4L".

Whenever I engage my tcase I stop my jeep and put it in neutral and then shift it into gear. I have the 242 if that helps

Not what the factory recommends..... Try it the way they DO recommend, especially on a 242.
