Does it work at all? Like on lower fan speeds? If not then I'd check all the wires going to your heater. And also check the cable that hooks up to your temp adjustment that could be broke.

You probably scattered the differential, go back there and look for the hole.

Default stripped threads--power steering pump bolt size???

My XJ is a 1990 4.0L I6. Can someone tell me what size bolt holds the power streering pump to the bracket there? The threads have been stripped and I need to know the size of the bolt in order to purchase the right size thread repair kit. I haven't removed the bolt and, for transportation needs, can't until I have time to make the fix.

That being said, There are two styles - a screw style, and a 2-prong style like the one you need.

Any cap 1984-1990 will fit, and any cap 1994 1/2-1996 should fit.

1991-1994 1/2 have 2 styles (2-prong and screw style).

Bottom line, if it's the 2-prong style it should fit.

after a little digging around and pushing the clerks buttons, i ended up with part 703-1311.

its a metal cap with the 2 little prongs.

he said it was for 97-2000something if i remember correctly. thanx for the reply tho! good info to know

I want to say its a 7/16 fine thread bolt. don't quote me on that though.

The Ford 4.9L I6 (300) in my dad's '94 F150 gets 18 mpg average. My '88 XJ 4.0 get's around 20mpg. In your terminology, that's 550 km per refill (65L-68L per fill-up)
Ya I'm trying a fuel additive to try and better the fuel economy. I'm getting between 20-22MPG on the highway...I'm pretty sure its just all the city driving and cold weather that is eating my gas. Thanks...

Anybody have a wiring diagram for 4 x 55 watt lights on a lightbar? Got a drip rail mounted lightbar and 4 lights for $46. I just need to wire the whole thing up.

Use 10Gauge wire going from the battery to relay and lights to relay. You can use one 30Amp relay for all 4 lights if they are 55w.

After that it started up and drove off fine. Do you think I should get it fixed immediately or is it okay to drive?

Alright I still haven't figured this out. I have an 90 cherokee 4.0 aw4, np231 2inch lift in the front 3 in the rear. I have a vibration at 35 to 55 and it happens when I give it gas, if I let off it goes away. So far I have

Replaced all the u joints
Tires and driveshaft has been balcened
Had an alignment
New motor and trans mounts
Did an axle swap and still hasn't changed
Swapped out the t case
Front drive shaft is not in it soo, now it isn't that,
New leaf springs

I have no clue what this is or too look next. Could be causing this like a tps sensor or crank sensor? Thanks for any help guys.

Its not a sensor, its a mechanical vibration.

The fact that its only while you're only experiencing it suggests the rear driveshaft.

is your pinion angle correct?
and are you sure none of the yoke holes on the driveshaft or slip yoke are out of round?

I've also had bad luck with non-spicer brand u-joints. Next time mine go out, I'll go with genuine spicer units.
