Will a wj front axle bolt into my 96 xj? I've found one I can get for free. It already has cross over steering. I was thinking it would be a nice upgrade. I know the lug patters different but it comes with wheels.

From what I have seen no. There wider spring perch to spring perch. Control arm brackets are in different locations too I think. But if its free take it. If it don't fit scrap it for a quick 30-40 bucks.

I believe the ricey popping sound comes from the changing exhaust pressure - something related to exhaust scavenging. Directly related to letting the foot off the throttle quickly instead of smoothly.

My 89 Cherokee won't start if it isn't in park, as a safety thing however sometimes it won't recognize it is in park. Recently I had to tow it home because I couldn't get it to start. It wouldn't crank the starter or anything. All the auxiliary decides will go on but it won't start. Any ideas?
