So I bought my jeep back in 2020, and sourcing parts was impossible, I had ordered an RE 3.5" lift kit, with appropriate RE trackbar, it showed up, but RE could never get me the lift kit. so I ended up cancelling (after waiting nearly 6mo) and getting a 3" RC lift kit, which came in a week. but then I ran into drivability issues which caused it to sit for over a year while messed with it, and took it to three shops to figure out. I'm finally getting back to fixing it it up and getting ready to drive it, and realized that the front drive shaft is hitting the exhaust, I need less than 1/2" clearance, but the track bar is as short as it will go (with a lock nut). Normally I would just go get the appropriate RC trackbar BUT the RE trackbar installation required me drilling out the upper mount point, making the RC trackbar no longer an option, as it is sized for the stock bolt size, and would be too small.
I'm having a hard time visualizing why your driveshaft would be hitting your exhaust. Was your track bar mount on your axle redrilled? If so, are you using that mount hole vs the stock location?
Something is definitely wrong. With a 3" lift you shouldn't need a dimpled exhaust. By about a mile. Take a picture of the front side where the track bar bolts to the axle.
I thought it was, but I measured it like.... 14 months ago. I will do it again in the coming days (when I can get out there early and not scald my rear on the cement).
