first off...
ok now thats outta the way. i love my re 4.5 lift. my suspension was pretty well shot when i got my xj. so after the lift was in it rode so much better. the flex in the susp is amazing. the on road handling is really good. i dont know much about the rc kit but if you have the money i highly reccomend the re kit. it comes with everything u need. adj track bar adj control arms longer brake lines. mines only like 2 months old so i will have to get back to u on the how its holding up

As far as the two lifts go, I can only speak for the RE kit. I've had the 3.5" for nearly a year now and I LOVE it. RE kits tend to come from the factory a bit taller than advertised (mine was nearly 4.5" when first installed), now that its settled its the true 3.5". Also after settling, it flexes VERY WELL. I have heard plenty of good things about the RC kit as well, especially waranty issues. Whichever kit you decide to do, don't cheap out (i.e. get full leafs as opposed to AAL, blocks, etc.), I've cheaped out in the past, with other XJ's I owned and its a much bigger headache in the end. Just my 2 cents.

You get what you pay for. Most say RE flexes, rides, and performs better than RC.
That's what I'd get if it were me knowing what I do know I wish I had first off instead of trading parts here and there til I finally got a decent suspension.
