the 8.25 has ubolt eliminator bracket on it that was trashed it was braking and somebody tryed too weld it back toogeather and looked like crap and i do not care what u guys think if u want too give crap about it. if u have nothing nice too say then dont reply
lol. obviously youve never been on a forum before if thats your response to criticism. If you have U bolt eliminators and cant weld then just ditch them with the axle, take the top plate from the junkyard axle and use new U bolts. You realize you are trying to trade $1100 and get $300 in return right? You could get a junkyard axle, have someone professionally remove and install the replacement axle, weld on all those parts, and still not have spent $800. But seriously, instead of ditching 800, just go back to U bolts. That IS an option here

Dude. Vehicles are just nuts, bolts and some welding. Don't get butt hurt when s**t hits the fan. It's not AIDS. There is a cure to whatever happens.
Of all American cars made. Jeeps are by far the best. Not including anything made in the 50's or 60's. Those truly were and are the best.

Ok- a lesson in accounting for dummy's... next time in a similar predicament, sell your 4:1 transfer case first on ebay or craigslist (will get you at least $1000), then use that money to buy a new axle (~$200) and transfer case ($200 max) at the local pick a part and do a search on google for a local welder/machine shop/4x4shop to make the brackets for you (~$100 max). That will leave you with at least $500 in your pocket to go spend as you please. Patience literally pays a lot when it comes to jeeps.
