I wouldn't trade. You can get a Chrysler 8.25 from a junkyard for under $200 while the Teralow kit cost well over 5 times that.

Not a good trade for you. tera lows are over 1k.. a 8.25 and a stock t-case is only worth 300 on a good day.

No insult intended. But you would have to be retarded to make that trade. Like these others cats said. A 8.25 could be had for $200 or less.
And why do you need a new axle?

That Tera Tcase is like $1100. Craigslist a 8.25 rear end. If not there. Junk yard or pick & pull. Keep that Tcase. Swapping out the axle isn't hard.
Who ever is offering the trade is trying to pull one over ya. You'll be a sucker.
Just be resourceful and find a another 8.25. They're just as easy to find as a D35.

Theres a guy on Craigslist in Denver selling a 44 with a Lockrite out of an XJ for $250. Thats a steal of a deal and a direct bolt in, but I doubt you have the matching gears for the front.

Here is one for $100 for an 8.25. $125 delivered in Denver area. http://denver.craigslist.org/pts/2386133230.html
