NV3550 Tranny Question

I'd like to upgrade my 231 to a 4:1 with the TeraFlex TeraLow 231, but both on frank's site(http://www.seriousoffroadproducts.co...-Transfer-Case), and TeraFlex's site, it doesn't say anything for '91+ manual tranny compatibility. Just curious if anyone has used this on either the '91-'99 AX-15 or the NV3550, which is what I have in my '01. I'd love to save up for this, instead of possibly a full replacement 231 with a 4:1 ratio. I'm even open to other kits, if there are any that would work with the NV3550. Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

Hmmm guess my 01 with HST shy of 200k is a fluke .
I even looked around under the valve cover for a casting # all I found was TUPY or something ?

HP swap isn't hard.

0331 head won't be a big deal if the cooling system is fine.

Op, don't have any help on the matter but try looking for the 241OR case.

Yeah, swapping the LP for a HP is easier than swapping in a 5 speed. The possible head issue is just a pain to have to worry about. Good luck finding a 241OR for less than $1K.

Seen them for $800 a few times with a short drive. Better piece of mind than the Tera low IMO.

I guess I never thought of trying to find one of those. I will look into that as an option as well. Thanks! I am sure it will be near impossible to find here in CO, heh.

I don't have a problem finding it, just finding out if it will mate up to the NV3550 that I have, since it isn't listed on their site. I will probably just call them on monday and ask. While the 241OR is a nice option, I don't see it being a cheaper one. Worst case, I may save up for an atlas 2, but those are stupid expensive, heh.

lol... why is it that the actual company website says nothing, but one of their distributors has it listed plain as day? Rhetorical question. ;-) Thanks freegdr for being able to google search much better than myself! While the 241OR is a sexy option, I think the teraflex teralow kit will probably be my best bet in the long run for the ratio I'd like, for what I can find and afford.
