I'm getting ready to do this also, and for the same reason, Hunting season in Az! I haven't looked for a location yet so I am all ears for any suggestions or experiences!
Just went and looked at one...What are the dimensions of that cooler? I see what you mean, It has it's own fan and all. Looking at a pic of it gives you another whole perspective concerning mounting locations! lol
I was looking for those dimensions! Man, that looks like something one would rather mount in a location besides in front of the Radiator? Remote is a very accurate description!
I just went and looked at mine and the only place I could see to mount that cooler would be to make brackets and put it under the Radiator over the Skid Pan. This location would be exposed to Mud, Rocks, Brush and Etc. though. That is quite a bit of Cooler!
Good find! Did a nice Fab job on this! But I still can't help thinking about exposure to small debris or Mud. I'm thinking that even a short run over some Tall Grass could render it plugged and dysfunctional as a cooler even with a screen?
Curious? Is it going to be cool with your differential travel when loaded up for camping? Have you considered adding a sheet metal "Splash deflector pan" to keep mud from splashing directly into it from the tires?
