Default AW4 Breather Tube to Case Fitting

See image for reference... my fitting broke when pulling the transmission. This part is no longer made and I can't seem to locate one or find some kind of fitting that would work. Any ideas?

Hey bud I am in the same boat. Did you every figure out an alternative for this piece? Maybe a press fit brass one like the one in the transfer case with some rtv??

Have you checked the generic dorman products at your local parts store? You might also be able to use a rubber tube instead of a plastic elbow.

I sold this jeep about two years ago so I’m hardly on here; but, this was the most infuriating thing I dealt with through the whole trans rebuild. No one had this part. I bought TONS of vac fittings to see if they’d work. You can’t thread the hole because the area is too small to work with. What I ended up doing is “gluing” the nub that was left of mine back in with RTV. Held up fine and served its purpose.

Thank you everyone for all the help! Let's hope I didn't toss it or else I will run to the parts store and macgyver something that will work.

I wonder if anyone has thought about 3d printing them, you'd save lives and many curse words at inanimate objects.

Worst case I just won't go swimming and water log the freshly rebuilt trans

Is it quite a small fitting? I do 3D printing but some smaller walled objects would just be too weak, especially if one end is on the AW4 vibrating around and the other stationary on the body.

From the picture it looks like it just holds a hose and snaps into the trans.
