Default transfer case breather tube broke! quick reply please!

I'm replacing my transfercase and the breather/vent tube is sheared off at the transfer case. I've searched and can't find any info on replacing one. Does anyone know what I need to do?

Just attach any tube? I've seen you can use a cheap little plastic fuel filter for a filter. Rout it up about piston high...

OK, I'm "on the page" now. A short little elbow nipple? I'd try to unscrew the stub with an extractor. Even if its pressed in, (not threaded), you might get it out. Use some PB blaster or something. If you DO get it out I suppose you could take it to the hardware store and find something close enough to match...

Since it's a tube 1/2 your work is done! No drilling required.

Honestly I'd just drill and tap it and put a brass fitting in there.

Good find Salad! For the record, it says it's pressed, (and "ridged"). Dealer-P/N J8131659, $10. I thought of drilling as well, but I might try the extractor or something first, before I'd get a little metal in there.

I wondered if a guy might just clean up the (present), hole and find some small line, like chainsaw fuel line that would jamb securely in the hole...
