Default Rear disc brakes?

I was thinking about buying some performance front rotors pads and calipers for my 2000 jeep cherokee classic. So I was thinking why can’t I just move the old rotors and calipers to the rear brakes. I mean how hard can it be?? What would I have to do???

Very.

  1. Learn what is involved (it's a lot).
  2. Learn to weld well enough to bet your life on it.
  3. Fabricate a lot of stuff from scratch.

OR, as the man suggests, learn what other people have done which is a lot simpler.

awg, your input is spot on, it's not difficult, you just need to know what you're doing. Talk with Big David, he's the man. Got my kit from him, most of the work was done for me, I think I bought new lugnuts, new pads, and new rotors (just because)...he has the best used kit anywhere IMO

BTW I just had everything off back there, have been running his kit several years, and it looked brand new.
