OTK Steering or just 1 ton
Everybody says both are good but which is going to give better results?
Already have a HD tie rod and track bar. If possible Id like to just get the draglink from somewhere with the joints. Id like to use spherical rod ends or what ever theyre actually called as opposed to regular tie rod ends like most 1 ton steering. ive also heard that if you arent going to relocate your track bar then the OTK isnt really going to give the proper angles anyway with the trackbar and draglink.
Edit: I just figured out I cant use my HD tie rod because of the length

I prefer the OTK crossover steering with heims. We use 7/8" chromo heat and cryo treated heims with a nylon injected race from Ruffstuff. They are super tight, don't rattle, and last long. You would definitely benefit from an over the axle trackbar with this setup all though it is not necessary. It all depends on if you are running a drop pitman arm or not, if you run the tie rod over or under the knuckle, and how much drop your current adjustable track bar frame bracket adds. Draw an imaginary line from 1" below the pitman arm to 1" above the TRE hole on the passenger knuckle. What does that line look like compared to the angle of your current track bar?

But i cant check until tomorrow for the imaginary line. Your system runs under the knuckle right? So would a drop pitman arm in addition normally help the track bar parallelness?

7/8" heim joint ball flat to flat measures 7/8" wide (no misalignment spacers needed on the tie rod). 7/8" heim with high misalignment spacers (like we run on the draglink and track bar) measure 2" wide (1" on center)

If you run the tie rod over the knuckle with the draglink sacked on top of it then the center of the draglink joint will be 1-7/8" higher then the top of the Knuckle.
