I had a flowmaster series 40 installed on my rig today. It sounds 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 x's better that the cheap glass pack thats been on it for a year. Well worth the money. It not only sounds better but i am sure it is breathing better too. I did some other work to the exhaust that was surely clogged as well. Sweet and meaty.

I got my new Flowmaster in today but i broke my clamp from the cat to the muffler, so is it alright for me to drive to the store to get a new one tonight or tomorrow? Just making sure the vibrations of the exhaust wont break anything else since i dont have the hangers on and the exhaust stops after the cat.

Ok so right now i have my muffler and tail pipe off my jeep, so my exhaust consists of stock manifold straight out the cat. The pipe out of the cat and the pipe for my new FM 44 is 2 1/4 but when i put on my new clamp it doesnt dstay tight. Can i go to autozone and get a coupler for the two or how do i get the 2 to stay tight against each other wiht out welding?

Would this work for joining the pipes?

Like use a hack saw and cut across the pipe (give it 2 slits across from each other) on the muffler and then tighten it down with the clamp?

Might try the slit idea. It will also help you get it off later on if you need to.
