I'll end up doing the swap if i get the money/ want to spend it on that. I just ordered the FM 44 for 2.25 pipe so ill run that for a while till i want to upgrade. I'd love to see proof of it, thats pretty significant

There is no muffler that will give you 15 hp and 2-3mpg. If your lucky you are looking at 3-5hp and maybe .5 to 1mpg. It is a different story if you swap the 2.25 piping out for 2.5 and add header, and hi flow cat. But even then you would be lucky to see 15 hp.

Yea... 15 HP is not likely... I've learned a thing or two since I got my *** chewed by jmm0122, toogreat and Kyle 4x4 4life for my horrible guess about HP gain from my intake and exhaust modifications... please see page 29 of this thread. Never again will I pull numbers from my ***... lol.

Never that I have seen, but if someone wants to dyno there jeep before and after adding a performance muffler I will gladly change my views. And if your mpg statement was right I would be getting 18 mpg, rather than the 11-12 mpg that I get now. The exhaust, intake, and injector mods have made my mpg's worse than ever, but its all worth it for the sound haha.

I didn't really chew you out, I was being nice about it. I try not to be much of a dick online. It's just people tend to believe everything that is advertised, and more times than not the estimates are extremely high because the vendor wants you to buy their product. I just didn't want to give you false hope when buying the product.

I got my new Flowmaster in today but i broke my clamp from the cat to the muffler, so is it alright for me to drive to the store to get a new one tonight or tomorrow? Just making sure the vibrations of the exhaust wont break anything else since i dont have the hangers on and the exhaust stops after the cat.

Im talking like power or MPG.
I just "upgraded" my stock exhaust setup. Mine necked down to 2.25" at the back of my rear cat. It got bad so I had to pipe through it while I waited for parts but anyways I replaced my rear cat with a high-flow 2.5" , swapped to a 2.5" muffler, and ran all the pipe in the back 2.5". My manifolds and main cats are stock, y pipe is stock. It sounds great! Power is great! WTH happened to my mpg is the question of the day though. I went from a combined average of 17.8 to 12.4 mpg. And no my foot isn't heavy. Well not for the last 3 tanks at any rate. It's my dd, goes about 65 miles round trip to work, 63 of it highway. Stock cherokee but for the exhaust and 235's. 177K, no codes or issues besides a few small leaks and needing a new front passenger ujoint. I just changed the oil sunday too. So idk. I've never had a vehicle react like this to an upgraded exhaust. I'm going to check my sensors and compression test tomorrow.
