Yea, I've seen it. Unfortunately, even with a decent subwoofer, the sound quality of these videos usually suck.. Need professional recording studio quality devices to get a good feel for it... Just wanting to gather opinions from people who have done or heard this setup.

Well, IMO, I wouldn't let people's opinion on duals get the best of me... I think they look cool and I'm a bit OCD about symmetry on automobiles. I know it can't be perfect but I'll try lol. Thanks for the positive reinforcement. If you ever decide to go back and run duals, post some pics and videos.

Duals are cool and all, but leave them to v8's where they have purpose, not just looks...kind of falls into the whole ricer category.
Ricer- A person who make unecessary modifications to a car(jeep in this case) to make it only LOOK faster.

That wouldn't be duals, it's still a single pipe into the muffler, and 2 coming out, that's a catback

I just bought the FM 44 off of http://www.autoanything.com/exhausts...A3965A0A0.aspx . Cheap prices for the most part and usually have free shipping. For the sound difference i think the 44 gives a better sound out overall through idle to running at 70. Its really all personal preference as far as sound goes. The flowmaster website tells you about the sound each muffler produces.
Haha it is tiny. But I am a (rear) catless xj and its a bit loud i'm hoping this quiets it down some. And hopefully I didn't overpay! It has a heavy stainless body so i'm really hoping it holds up. Winters in Maine, coupled with my dirt parking spot is rough on my exhaust. I'm sick of rusting out so i'm trying the Random & Borla and see if they live up to the hype. I'm redoing everything from the y pipe back in stainless and v-clamps. Going to redo the manifolds, front cats and y in a few more paychecks. Heres a pic of the inside of the cat, i've had a few pm's about it. It's part # 141-25000 2.5" (the center is 5" around).
Nope, the reason this style muffler was created was to make a Ranger sound like a V8. Obviously it's not exactly like a V8 but that was the intention when these were first created. The cherry bomb posted is the same concept just with IMCO's offset V instead of the standard V found in most mufflers.
