Hmm I'd just buy a quick turndown from AutoZone ....but no it is ok if u do the muffler has air running out so it makes it harder for anything to rush in...you will be fine

Mine is exactly like this..right after the crossmember is my cat, then my muffler & then it dumps out just before the rear axle!
Love this..
No issue with mud or anything! Many people run like this, no issues!

Yes the reason I stated the turn down was just to add some protection to the inside of the muffler from mud or dirt from the road
And off road

I think the biggest reason for turn downs is so you don't cook your under carrige. Without them exhaust would go straight for it, or anything in its way...with the turn down it will hit the ground before bounching back up..in that time the exhaust will cool.
Turn down or no, the muffler is going to get water/griddy crap it in.

^^ This..

MagnaFlow did some dyno testing. There was a 1hp difference between straight pipes and a high flow converter. 1hp isn't even slightly noticeable.

Ringo, you have been told more than once by more than one member that removing the cat is against FEDERAL law. Because of this its is against forum rules to discuss removing or altering the cat. These are rules you agreed to when you registered.

Please review the forum rules and do your best to follow them. This is your final warning.
