Camshaft is like the heart of the engine. It opens and closes the valves. A performance cam will alter when and how long the valves are open. The more lobe seperation, the better/more rumbly it sounds.

Default Manifold crack

I have a hair-line crack where the tubes meet the collector on the exhaust manifold. Can this be mig/tig welded or does the manifold need to be replaced. Thanks.

Thanks for the quick reply. I was thinking the same thing and the header is reasonably priced. Thanks again!

Magnaflow 23226 Directfit Cat Converter
Amazon.com: Magnaflow 23226 Direct Fit Catalytic Converter (Non CARB compliant): Automotive

On a scale of 1-5, how difficult is this going to be?
I've only done some minor maintenance since I've owned the Jeep, so I don't have a lot of experience when it comes to more advanced projects like these.
Anything I should know? Specific tools I need or equipment I need?
Thanks
I just installed the same setup on my 95ZJ 5.2 and I would rate it at A 1.5 difficulty level. Tools I would suggest are a sawzall with a long metal cutting blade other than that all I used was a ratchet and some jackstands to hold it up while I bolted the kit together. The magnaflow cat didn't come with a clamp so I reused the old one, I had to jack the jeep up in the ait to get the tail pipe over the rear axel other than that the jeep stayed on all fours the cat they sent me also had an O2 sensor bung on the down hill side called magnaflow and they said to plug it with an 18mm fine thread bolt. time to complete 2.5 hours 1.5 hours to demo the ol rusty bastage and a lil less than an hour to install the new setup. Hope this helps.

Not Necessarily noticeable, but I would be suprised if anything done to an XJ's exhaust would really affect the butt-dino readings. The chief advantage is that they have that flex pipe in them, so they don't crack as often as the factory ones.

I noticed mine tonight It's the first time I've kicked'er down with the pacesetter! Still no exhaust behind it though $150 for straight pipe with a cat
