I had to lift the Pass side with a jack to get the holes to line up.. and a little shove here and there. Will I be safe after an alignment? or will I need to increase the ride height some more for functionality?
May be able to cut down the bar. Measure the depth of threads inside track bar, compare to depth of heim joint. A Rock Krawler technician said that this could be done with their bars.

coil spacers if needed to level out

thanks
Is there a reason to have mismatched load ratings between coils and leafs?

No. I was going for the best ride and price. I read that Rusty's from coils ride good and that OME rear leafs ride good. Rusty's coils are about $80 cheaper than OME.

I don't know that much about load ratings.

Details:
Rusty's HD coils: 180 lb/in
OME Medium Duty leafs: 148 lb/in (as best as I can tell)

I think Rusty's non HD , regular 3" coils have a spring rate of 150lbs.

would that be a better match with the OME leafs?

They do, and it would match. Do you plan to install a bumper and winch on the front? If you'll be adding weight, get the HD coils. If you aren't buying a winch, I'd get the standard duty coils

Mmmmm not a terrible idea but I'm waiting to put on 5"coil lift.

Ok . thanks. The bumper/winch is not in the budget this year. Might be next year.

Read the first post, then scroll down to the third post for the diagram he references:

As for what type, the easiest way would be to post pictures of the top of the coil springs up front, the rear of the leaf springs out back, and where the leaf springs meet the rear axle tube.

I know about the rep on rough country but I was curious about y'all's thoughts on the nitro shocks? Asking because of costs of the bilsteins. Going onto a 3.5" lift btw.

Does anybody make a short arm lift kit for XJ's that has adjustable control arms? Also does anyone think it's necessary to have adjustable short lower control arms? For example has anyone run into alignment issues with a solid control arm?

This one has adjustable uppers. They'll allow you dial-in you caster. Adjustable lowers are available and I can get substitued but there would be cost to do that.

Trail Master used to make a 4" kit but an extra half an inch isn't going to hurt anything or even be noticeable.

Currie makes 4" coil springs, also PAC Racing springs (found at JEGS). Couple them with 3.5" lift leaf springs and Iron Rock Offroad shackles.
