Would you suggest me going with a different tire? I'm looking for a tire that will preform well on both the road and the trail. And living in WI I need a tire that can preform will in snow and ice.

Not unless you expect to rock climb and puncturing the sidewall is a concern. Love my Duratracs.
So as the title says, I have about $1k to spend on lifting the cherokee, my question is what is the best i can do with that budget? I know its not much, but i barely even go anywhere i would benefit from having a lift, and i am not planning on going with big tires. it would honestly be basically for looks, but i want to at least make sure it is done right. i was thinking of just going with the 3 in kit from rustys (http://www.rustysoffroad.com/jeep-su...-pack-kit.html), or if you guys would say its worth it, going with the 3 in advanced kit which is about $300 more and includes fixed upper control arms, fixed lower control arms, adjustable front track bar, and extended length stainless steel brake hose (http://www.rustysoffroad.com/jeep-su...anced-kit.html). I would go with the 4.5 in, but i think at that point i would need an SYE and driveshaft, and that would put me over budget. plus this is my first 4x4 so i have no experience dealing with driveline angles and stuff that gets messed up when lifting.

Rusty has a history of his steering parts shearing under normal road forces, resulting in a loss of steering response or worse. I personally won't touch his parts with a ten foot pole

I need some help. I've never had a lifted vehicle and I want to put a 2 to 3 inch lift on my cherokee. It's my daily driver so I want to make sure I don't get a kit that is prone to vibrations and a lot of wear. Can anybody give me some suggestions. Also I was thinking about just getting a kit with all new leaf springs. My original ones aren't looking to good

This can serve as a pretty good guide and you can look up pretty much any of the companies listed on your favorite parts company like Quadratec, 4wd hardware, 4 wheel parts, or even some of our forum vendors like Serious Offroad sells lift... here's the link to the list https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f67/je...mpanies-76868/

Im sure its been asked many times. 3 inch lift. Full packs. RC has a good kit with all the bells and such. Buuuuut ive heard a fair amount of good things about Zone. Im fine spending the extra bucks on the better lift. But im trying to find out if there is really any difference or if its preference at this point. Ive heard about RC leafs and bushing wearing prematurely but that can be an issue of use. Any ideas or advice? Thanks.

RC's coils are okay. Zone's top notch, made by BDS.
I don't see any reason in giving money to RC. I have an RC 3" AAL. It's kind of like buying cutlery at the dollar store.. "STAINLESS CHINA" means it was MADE in a town called "Stainless", not that it's made FROM stainless steel
Modding your ride is fun. Replacing broken **** that is only broken because it's cheap, not so much.

Should have taken a picture of the label. I like the way the front of my Jeep rides, but because of the aal rear it has the shackles sitting at almost 90° so it is real stiff/rough unless it is loaded. I will be doing leaf packs once I do the SYE, and at that point I may push it up another inch.

I keep hearing about shackle angles....I figured when installing you could put enough force on the leaf to flatten it out some and get it to fit a 45 degree shackle...or are real world forces way to strong with good leaf packs?
And yeah im siding more with Zone as well. I just wanted to make sure. And I would rather my steel come from a town in Canada than CHINA.

Are they still having this issue? I'm just getting back into my Jeep right now but they had this issue 8 years ago when I was looking into lifting my first XJ. Are their springs still stiff as ****?

I just picked up RE 3" (I think it's 3") from a buddy and I need an adjustable track bar. I see a few variant s from RE that have ranges from 1. Something to 4.5, 3.5 - 4.5 and 4-6 .
Already my jeep has this mild body lift of aleast 1-2", not including the aforementioned lift kit that will be added. How do I measure what lift I have currently to add to the kit im putting on so I can decide on the appropriate track bar?
Also, can I use stock Shakles or what I have on my jeep with the kit?
