So I finally got my jeep running great. Now I want to put a lift on it. I just can't decide what company has a good one for the sand dunes.

Also, are the shocks that come with the RE kit fine? There's an option of either Twintube shocks ($179.99) or Monotube shocks ($287.99)
I'm going to be getting the RE1600...

Isn't IRO's lift made from RC stuff? A lot of the lift parts have RC part numbers...

Yes, they're mostly RC as far as lift components.

Mostly? Have you looked at their page?
http://www.ironrockoffroad.com/Merch...egory_Code=PFX

RC part numbers start with "RC-" and are clearly labelled "Rough Country _____".

They have their own local spring makers, and they make the non-spring components in-house.

Not always. Their shocks show pictures of RC shocks but they have the IR part number prefix. I have no clue who makes their springs, but they carry so much RC stuff I would imagine there's a good chance its from RC...

Like I said, I have no clue, but that's the impression I get looking at their site...

White body shocks are 99% the same with different stickers on them. If that's how you judge it, most companies are selling rebranded Monroe lifts.

They used to use RC springs in their kits. Now they sell RC springs in addition to their lift kits.

I don't doubt you, I'm just saying from a newbs perspective when I look at their site I assume RC stuff is interchanged in their product line enough that I wouldn't order springs from them b/c I've read enough negative reviews on rc. There are other things I would buy from them though, and still plan to.

I wouldn't buy anything from RC. There's been too many threads that go like this.

User: Something wrong with my X.
RC Rep: You didn't install it right.
User: Here's pictures.
RC Rep: You didn't install it right.
User: Here's more pictures and even more info.
RC Rep: Oh yeah. We changed X. We'll get back to you.
User: Well?
** Crickets **

It's not really the stuff they sell. Cheap is cheap. If X is defective then just send me a new one and I'll be happy that RC were stand-up people. It's the customer support that ALWAYS blames the buyer for months and then ends up doing nothing.

On the other hand, RE heim wore out. Cal to RE = new one in the mail.

It's not a solid driveshaft that you want to change to.. The Slip Yoke Eliminator is a modification to the output of your transfer case, along with adding a driveshaft that is able to slide in and out to take the place of what the output of the transfercase originally done.

You could add a spacer and shackle combo, along with an adjustable track bar and proper length lower control arms and hit around 4" of lift or so and be good to go.
