So I finally got my jeep running great. Now I want to put a lift on it. I just can't decide what company has a good one for the sand dunes.

Yes, they're mostly RC as far as lift components.

RC part numbers start with "RC-" and are clearly labelled "Rough Country _____".

They have their own local spring makers, and they make the non-spring components in-house.

Not always. Their shocks show pictures of RC shocks but they have the IR part number prefix. I have no clue who makes their springs, but they carry so much RC stuff I would imagine there's a good chance its from RC...

White body shocks are 99% the same with different stickers on them. If that's how you judge it, most companies are selling rebranded Monroe lifts.

They used to use RC springs in their kits. Now they sell RC springs in addition to their lift kits.

 

I don't doubt you, I'm just saying from a newbs perspective when I look at their site I assume RC stuff is interchanged in their product line enough that I wouldn't order springs from them b/c I've read enough negative reviews on rc. There are other things I would buy from them though, and still plan to.

 

I wouldn't buy anything from RC. There's been too many threads that go like this.

It's not really the stuff they sell. Cheap is cheap. If X is defective then just send me a new one and I'll be happy that RC were stand-up people. It's the customer support that ALWAYS blames the buyer for months and then ends up doing nothing.

On the other hand, RE heim wore out. Cal to RE = new one in the mail.

 

ok i have a 1993 xj just got.4 door 4.0 5 speed.has 2'' rough country all spring lift.had 31'' on it.want to know how to get up to 4.5''-5'' total lift using whats on it now tho plus what ?already has solid driveshaft on rear.no slip yoke.new driveshaft..can i use the 2'' spacer up front and add leaf rear..what all need to do if i do that way?what needs dropped or extended.thanks..

 

It's not a solid driveshaft that you want to change to.. The Slip Yoke Eliminator is a modification to the output of your transfer case, along with adding a driveshaft that is able to slide in and out to take the place of what the output of the transfercase originally done.

You could add a spacer and shackle combo, along with an adjustable track bar and proper length lower control arms and hit around 4" of lift or so and be good to go.

 

i have 93 xj.2'' rough country all spring lift on it.just got jeep recently.want to know what to get 4.5''-5'' lift using what i have now and what..add a leaf and coil spacers work?also has solid rear driveshaft no slip yoke anymore..thanks.what needs lowered or extended if go 4.5-5''.
