Not necessarily. I see your profile has 1996 filled out, so you may either have the strong 29-spline model, or you may have the 27-spline model which is comparable with the Dana 35, but with less aftermarket support.

sorry been mia. I have a automatic. Going to go check out that calculator soon.
So i was looking at the axle the other night and wondering what the best covering for it would be. I was considering just trying to use a bedliner and touch up what was bad but that would still require so much grinding that I might as well take this down the road to get sand blasted and primered. What would be a strong primer/anti corrosion coating? Por15? I want to just paint it black after the primer, nothing expensive and easier to touch up.

That chart is badass. I have the AW4/NP231(no super low kit) and went with 3.55 on 215/75/15 on one chart compared to 4.56 on 35s and it was nearly identical using the RPM @ speed chart. I think i'm going to have to get new ring and pinion so there goes my original idea of saving these gears. Oh well.
