RE 3.5inch https://www.quadratec.com/products/16300_818X_PG.htm
lift is what im thinking or getting. Im kind of new to the whole jeep thing this will be my daily and really only offroading every once in awhile so i didnt want something to big.But id like to know what other things i should get along with the kit ,id like to know what are some necessary parts to get to make my jeep relatively comfortable and safe to drive everyday. Everybody says something different, and some people say i really dont need anything else,so im not really sure what to get. Any input would help thanks.

If you do not have the Cherokee yet I suggest waiting awhile on ordering a lift. Why the rush for the lift if it is a daily driver? Most lifts will reduce ride comfort and gas mileage and can negatively impact handling. Check the vehicle thoroughly and determine what other repairs might be needed. Address safety items first such as brakes and rusty brake and fuel line replacement. Take care of any rust. Catch up on maintenance such as differential lube change, replace all filters including fuel filter. Change spark plugs.
The lift package you are looking at doesn’t seem to include shocks. You will probably need those with a 3.5” lift. Otherwise you will likely overextend the shocks and damage them. Chances are they are due for replacement anyway. Replace the steering stabilizer shock. Forget about the 4 to 6 hours the supplier says it will take to install. Maybe 5x that or more if you are not experienced on working on Jeeps. Rear leaf spring replacement can be a real pain, especially if you run into a stuck bolt or broken off nut. Soak all fasteners with penetrating fluid for days before attempting suspension bolt removal.
If you want the best ride for highway driving while providing good off road capability the Old Man Emu kit is typically considered the best. It is not inexpensive.

If this is really what you want, then stick with factory replacement parts and don't lift it that much. An "upcountry clone" suspension package can run around $600 in parts and will let you run up to 30" tires. Anything really higher than that and you might as well wheel the thing.

The RE 3.5 lift kit has one of the highest spring rates out there. If you are looking for a smooth ride, I would look at OME instead. Dont get me wrong, the RE 3.5 is a great kit, I ran it on my XJ but the ride was anything but great.

The other thing to check is the cylinder head tto see if it has been changed . the 2001 cherokee 4.0L has a head that will crack . I just got done changing mine . just look up the 0331 jeep cherokee cylinder head , you can use a head from a 2004 ,2005 ,or 2006 4.0L grand cherokee and you can get new replacement head .

I agree, I had the RE3.5 superflex kit on my last jeep and it was a great kit but the ride was very stiff.
