Run the AC after dark and check the water dripping out the drain line for glowing dye.
How about the compressor shaft seal? No traces down the front of the compressor under the shaft / behind the pulley?

I total neglected the xj and left it in pieces (in the garage) and went to the Bantam festival. At the festival I scored a great deal on a pre-runner winch bumper from Logans metal (thanks to Jamie). I'm sure my jeep will forgive me.

drove to the bank, shopping, visit a friend. it starts and runs like a "normal" car!. and i am enjoying and trusting it..air is cold. heat is HOT. no water leaking in, or out!!
newly waxed windows look great, i cant see them. sunroof is great . tinted glass is nice. its gutsie fast! my friend was impressed with my $1200 buy! oh , my keyless remote is really convenient, got a bright led indicator over the mirror, did not use jeep lights. keep it separate and simple.can see it in sunlight.
oh im rambling, likeing my jeep, might sell hummer.
im shopping for a 2nd driver jeep like my 00.

Washed it and put a new air filter in. I feel a little bad. It's way past due but I just hadn't thought about it. Caked in mud and dust. I could actually tell a difference power wise putting the new filter in.

EDIT
I wonder if these are decent filters or just garbage, but the Green branded air filters are supposed to be really good and at $37 its not terribly expensive.

Was out for a ride with a friend and a couple of miles from the house and both front calipers were sticking badly. I don't understand how that happened all at once, but a trip to Oreily's and a few more bucks for new calipers and pads and we are rolling again. Just emptying every pocket...
So I am putzing around with the Jeep. Not going to do anything. Just scope a couple things out. Got a little sheet metal from buddy and was eyeballing cutting a small plate to cover the hole where the third eye is before the spoiler goes back on to hopefully fix my cargo bay leak. Figure I will put this under the metal instead of some gasket material because I am thinking about going all around the spoiler with it too.

I can pick that up for under $16 and from what I understand it never dries. I can roll it under the spoiler. It is black. The Jeep is black. Hoping this will do what I want it to do. Thinking if the spoiler ever has to come off again it would not be a problem. So after that I figured I would at least see if my passenger side door check bolts would loosen easy. Not doing that today either. No problem. Cracked loose. So I am looking at it and noticing that there is one nylon washer in the door check. There were none on the driver's side. Turns out there is 2 on each door check. 2 doors are missing them completely. Passenger front had the one and driver's rear had both. So of course I have to correct this. Trip to the hardware store. Factory one is on the left and new one on the right. Put two in the driver's door. Didn't see any reason for it to be notched so I just put them in. I am done. Back to work tomorrow. Yippie.
Before I forget. What do you guys think of this:
