$10 later I got the missing hardware that logans metals shorted me. I also finally got one of the rear floor pans welded in tonight. It's nice to have a professional welder for a friend helping me out.

Historic, antique and registered hot rods are exempt, from my knowledge.

Got it un-stuck and reattached the muffler, lol. Let my daughter try her hand at what should have been very light wheeling. But apparently she believes the gas pedal is an "all or nothing" switch. Felt the jeep sliding, floored it. Leapt over a log, removing the muffler, then right into a mound of deep loose gravel... still at full throttle. Instantly up to the rockers in smooth river pebbles.

But hey, got some nicely polished sidewalls outta the deal!

well, earlier in the week. (tuesday) I actually drove it on the highway for the first time ever in the four years I've owned it, three hour round trip. Other than its being loud, (choppy used tires and no carpet) and hot (no A/C) it drove like a dream. Also managed to get 19mpg out of the thing, even with the big tires, heavy bead locks and winch on it. Really surprised and very pleased with how this thing preformed. Now to figure out the firewall leak, so i can put the carpet and some sound deadening in.

You know, I love my current XJ, ton of fun off road. But I had that tire size with 2" puck n shackle kits on both of my previous XJs. There really is something to be said for the simplicity of it.

Couldn't do all the stuff the Golden Badger can. But easy to drive, easy to MAINTAIN, and still far more capable than most so called "4X4" SUVs.

Only thing I haven't come up with yet, is some kind of sleeve for that bigger hole in the unibody that's used on the mounting.

I'm not sure if it would work for your application but you can find DOM tubing in just about any size online, just measure the inside of hole that you're going to sleeve and the bolt diameter, then order based on those measurements for ID and OD of the tube and cut it to length.

Ordered a boostwerks 231 manual trans transfer case linkage to replace the stock crappy one that would keep coming out of adjustment.

That's on my list too, I think I'm going to get the stainless steel one from Azzy Design Works. Support a local Pennsylvanian.

LMAO! This is starting to creep me out Curry. I'm also considering the ADW linkage due to the use of heim joints.
