Cool,..extended brake lines and shocks with travel....I have 2-3" lift shocks so not sure what the amount of travel would be,.. Would I also need a different type of control arm ?
Control arms help. If you have aftermarket adjustable ones, you can set the axle perfectly where it needs to go.
I'm completed maxed out here. I'm hung up on the bracket on the axle on the lower control arm. You can remove a shock and measure them for travel.

I know the bent control arms help. With short arms maxed out it pulls the axle backwards. I would think by trimming it, it would pull it back that much more. I'm already unseating all the tension off my spring. So I'm basically outside of useable flex anyways.
Used my lunch break to whip up some patch panels to fix a couple crunchy spots on my RH outer rocker skin. Will probably start grafting em in tomorrow.
Fixed the broken wire for the after market power door lock on the rear drivers door, installed the PA horn for my CB. Going to need to find a better spot for it, but it will do for now. Reconnected the clock spring to see if it had finally dried up or if I was actually going to have to buy a new one. Airbag light is out, horn works and I have cruise control again
Still trying to figure out why in hell they spec'd a part that is subject to water infiltration on a Jeep. Sure an XJ shouldn't get a lot of moisture in it, but they use the same clock spring on the TJ Wranglers.
Mine got wet when I was cleaning the steering wheel BTW. If I had known then what I know now I wouldn't have used as much leather cleaner as I did and I would have put down something to block the moisture when I was doing it.
Still waiting on the weather man to give me a couple of nice days in a row that line up with my days off so I can get to work on refreshing the TC. I am off Tuesdays and Wednesdays, this week I got 1/2 a day of usable weather between the two. The rest of the time it was pouring rain or snowing to beat the bandit. We are into April already, we should not be getting 2" of snow in an afternoon

I just had to replace mine...at first I was like $40 not to bad, then I find out the ones with cruise are ~$100! $100 for a piece of ribbon cable..what a rip off. ~215,000 miles on assuming the OEM one, just replaced it last week. At least it's a fairly easy job.
We also got the same weather here. Still about 3' in our yard and just got 3 or so inches the last couple days... We've had 60/70F weeks already and now it's back to 30s... Mother nature is such a tease.
Hahaha I flexed em a bit to see what we could do after the recent lift,...looks like I'm also limited a bit by the control arms. I thought I had seen bent arms somewhere but those adjustables look like they give a good bit

I keep hearing negative reviews on RC products,...what adjustable control arm do you fellow jeep freaks think is optimum in quality and value?
You'll hear mixed reviews about almost anything. I'm happy with my Rusty's U/LCAs. Adjustable with an optional heim-type joint. Looking at price and quality, a very good value.
