Well it looked like it might rain. Worrying that it might I did something small. Got my passenger map pocket Dremeled off the Limited door panel, cleaned up the carpet part and plastic part, then double sided taped them back together. Then the clouds went away. Did the driver's awhile back. Now to just get them on my door panels.

Continuing on with the cooling system overhaul...

What do you believe? Does this water pump look like it has 213k on it? It's black, like the rest of the block, and I see no evidence of it being replaced. It's in pretty good shape if it is the original other than some very slight bearing drag:

So I got a little more done as far as sound deadening the Jeep goes. So I put a few pieces of the Dynmat in the rear doors. I guess cause the doors are smaller when you rap on them they sound less tinny if at all in most places. Threw a few pieces here and there. Put back on the barrier. Attached the foam to the barrier. Buttoned her up. One thing I did discover. The vapor barriers out of the '97 I took the privacy glass out of are of better quality then the ones in my '00. I kept and used them. They are plastic. Mine or more like plastic paper. Much easier to rip. Had I known and not done the fronts already I would have grabbed and used those from the '97 too.

Got the HB off. Definitely glad I'm doing this now. The rubber seam is dry-rotted and cracking. Who knows when disaster would strike?

New Mopar HB vs old, original Mopar HB:

Pulling the a/c bracket off to get one of the bolts out to remove timing cover. There's ~1/8" of the bolt head flange that doesn't clear. What a pita...I'll be putting the bolt in from the rear and the nut on the front to make removal much quicker and easier in the future:

Replaced the high-beam relay in the headlight wiring harness I'd installed shortly after purchasing the Jeep a couple of years ago. I noticed last night the high beams were not working. On examination I found the base on that relay had separated on one side, so most likely moisture got in and corroded the internals.

Why would you waste water like that!? I never wash my Jeep. I let mother nature do it for me. Helps build character. Like 4wd said, should have taken it back through the river!

New battery. My Duralast Gold made it to about 6 months outside the warranty period... then wouldn't hold a charge anymore. Thankfully, it's pro-rated for 2 years so I got about 50 bucks toward the purchase of a new one. Also had $20 in rewards points so I walked out of there for $84
