She has gotten at least $5k in repairs from the dealer, not including the time she crashed it, hail damage, and a tree branch falling on it.
I used to like Subarus. But that Forester is a POS.

Ya all the "nice" cars are a pain in the *** to work on lol. I mean really.. whats the hardest thing to replace on a cherokee inline 6???

From my experience the only thing thats was hard was replacing the exhaust manifold, and you can weld that *****.

Have you ever tried replacing spark plugs on an Trans am GTA???? It took me and my friend 2 and half hours, and thank god we didnt have to unbolt the engine mounts!

Best thing is.... Jeep = dents, scratches, hail damage = beauty marks haha. And I can change the spark plugs in 20-30 minutes.

haha I have never tried an impala! There is a car where (i forget which one) they put the windshield washer fluid tank directly over the battery!!

Who designs that??

AMC (who was always being the 8 ball) over developed their cars, and you get the cherokee a strong reliable easy to maintain vehicle!!!

Even the british guys on Top Gear couldn't put down the jeep besides the earlier plain dash's but to us cherokee people we know that working on that takes 20 minutes to pull apart haha

You ever replaced a, uh, ANYTHING on a Toyota MR2? Fuel pump took about 9 hours, water pump about ten hours, Timing belt took about 3-1/2 hours. Then my friend and I went out doing burnouts and drifting in the rain and the next day the engine blew up. In the 8 months my buddy has owned that car it has ran for 3 months.
Sorry for off topic.

Not really, FMTV is straight axle because the gov't owns the design, they just give us the print package. FMTV's GVWR is only about 49,000 lbs for the heaviest variant, where the MTVR is 62,200 lbs (3-axle Tak-4) and the LVSR is 106,000 lbs (5-axle Tak-4, with 4 steering axles too). FMTV is just a little guy. Talk to anyone who drives them and they ride like crap. I can speak from experience here too.

So I dropped my mom off at the dealership to get her new car and the salesman says to me "you should bring your jeep in and let us fix that lean" so I say to him " it doesn't need to be fixed. She likes it like that". He laughs sarcastically and says "all of our mechanics are certified mechanics" I wanted to punch him in the mouth and say I'm a xj certified mechanic
